Sluice Boxes

Backpack Sluice
Many thanks to Greg Ouzounian, California for his contribution of this small, lightweight backpack sluice. It only weighs about eight pounds and when disassembled, it will fit into a 12 X 12 X 21" stuff sack.

Light weight sluice box
This design is from Gerald Brooks and is made from ABS plastic

Sluice Box
A sluice box plan from Bob Hamlett of Wellington, New Zealand. This design is similar to the Keene and Gold King etc. models we see in the U.S. but adds a classifier at the head.

Old Sluice Box
Another plan sent in by Bob Hamlett. This one is made of wood and is included here because it has an interesting riffle design I have never seen before. The plan is from the book "PROSPECTING FOR GOLD" by Ion L. Idriess, published in March, 1931 by Angus & Robinson.
